On September 4/17 Reverend Bishop Milan issued a Decree on the division of our eparchy into Uzhgorod, Mukachevo and Khust archdeaneries:

Decree


In carrying out pastoral care in the eparachy entrusted me, bringing her the Holy Spirit through the Gospel and the Eucharist, I wish with our presbyterate (can. 177 - § 1. CCEC) , since all of our faithful of the Mukachevo eparchy , in accordance with its status and vocation, have made ​​most of their efforts to conduct a holy life, so to increase the spiritual growth of the Church and increase its holiness (can. 13 CCEC): having a great historical heritage of our diocese, which for centuries helped the faithful of our Church to firmly maintain and avow their faith (can. 10 CCEC) , on the occasion of 240th anniversary of the canonical establishment of the Diocese of Mukachevo, relying on canon 276 § 2 and CCEO after advice from the presbyteral council,

restore the 
division of the Diocese of Mukachevo archdeaneries, thereby setting the three districts - Uzhgorod, Mukachevo and Khust as archdeaneries:

By District Uzhgorod includes: deaneries of both Uzhgorod city, Uzhgorod region, Beregovo deaner, dean Veliky Berezny deanery, deaneries of Perechyn and Serednye and all parishes, belonging to them.   

By County of Mukachevo includes: deanery of Mukachevo city, deanery of of Mukachevo-area; deaneries of Irshava, Beletsky, Vynohradiv , Volovets, Svalyava Chynadiyivskyy with all parishes, belonging to them.   

By District Khust includes Khust deanery, and the deaneries of Velykobychkivskyy, Mizhhirja,Rakhiv, Solotvyno, and Tyachiv with all parishes, belonging to them.

I wish that each of our constituencies - under their heavenly patrons and thus serve for the glory of God and the good of all our faithful:

Uzhgorod under the custody of the Holy and Life-Creating Cross , Feast of the Exaltation of which celebrate September 14 / September 27,

Mukachevo - under the patronage of Saints Cyril and Methodius, Slavonic teachers , which celebrate the Feast of July 5 / July 18,

Khust - under the patronage of our Blessed Priest Theodore, Bishop of Mukachevo , which celebrate the Feast of October 31.

May the Blessed Virgin, the heavenly patron of our Diocese of Mukachevo, cover all our archdeaneries along with all the clergy and faithful; the Protection of the Holy and Life-Creating Cross, the intercession of Saints Cyril and Methodius, apostles of our, and our Blessed Theodore Priest shall accompany us on the road to the Heavenly Father.

This decree shall enter into force upon its proclamation.

New Changes in the Eparchy of Mukachevo:


Establishment of New Vicariate of Khust


Thinking of our most remote parishes in the Maromaros region, we want them to achieve their
 best possible spiritual growth. Therefore, based on the Decree № 208/11 of 17 September 2011 "On establishing archdeanery of the Mukachevo eparchy" in accordance with canon 276 § 2 of the CCEC and after advice from presbyteral council of the Eparchy

to elevate the deaneries of Khust into a Vicariate of the Mukachevo Greek Catholic Eparchy.

 

May the Blessed Virgin, the heave of Khust with all its clergy and faithful. 

May our Blessed Theodore, our Hieromartyr, accompany all those who belong to the vicariate on their journey to the Heavenly Father.

Decree shall enter into force upon its proclamation.
